The Happy Clam

To celebrate a friend's birthday, last night we went to a seafood restaurant called The Happy Clam, which is exactly how I felt after eating there. I didn't grow up eating a lot of seafood. I don't really know the difference between clams and oysters and other things that come in shells. But I will try everything and adventurous eating most often pays off.  Like it did last night.

One of the things I love about restaurants in Korea is how your food is cooked in front of you. At at the Happy Clam you order a large, medium, or small order and they bring everything out in a big steaming pan. You get a bunch of appetizers like fish paste on a stick, kimchi pancakes, and these...

Silkworms

Then the guy comes over and helps you take things out of the shells and cuts up the squid. Then you eat everything! The four of us demolished the whole portion. After you finish eating and take out the shells, they bring you noodles to cook in the broth. Heavenly.

I was so full and satisfied. I hope we go back there sometime.
